A container for construction waste from the manufacturer MAiM in 1:35 scale, offered in a revised rendering. It is a diorama prop, not a kit of a vehicle. An open steel skip for rubble is one of the most characteristic elements of a building site and of an urban street, and in a diorama it is an object that will take an endless amount of weathering.
The container fits into scenes of building sites, yards, industrial estates and urban streets. In modern wartime subjects it serves as an improvised barricade or cover, and in post-apocalyptic scenes as a silent witness to construction cut short. You can fill it with rubble of your own, bits of masonry, wood and bent sections, and so turn a prop on its own into a small story. Its dimensions match figures and vehicles in 1:35.
After cleaning up and priming, choose a typical strong container color, blue, green, red or ocher, and then let it work hard: scuffs with a stippling technique or a sponge, rust in the edges and the seams, dust and runs down the sides. Leave the inside heavily worn, because the contrast between a strong outside color and a rusted interior looks superb.
It is supplied as an unpainted casting to be cleaned up and painted. Paints, glue and the contents of the container are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
