Photo-etched cutlery and kitchen equipment in 1:35 scale from Aber: small metal accessories for a diorama. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched metal set in 1:35 scale with cutlery and kitchen equipment for a diorama. It is not a kit and it is not tied to any particular vehicle, but a set of small items that round out the living and supply part of a scene: a field kitchen, a table in a house, a camp or a crew's quarters. Photo-etch is ideal for such things, because cutlery and the handles of pots are meant to be thin and cannot be made in plastic.
Military and civilian life alike revolved around food, and the evidence is everywhere in period photographs: mess tins, pots, kettles, ladles and plain spoons tucked into a boot. It is exactly these small things that turn a diorama into an inhabited place. Where the vehicles show what was happening, the kitchen equipment shows that somebody lived there, and a viewer notices it even without putting a name to it.
Cut the photo-etched sheet on a hard surface with sharp photo-etch scissors or a scalpel, and never break a part out. Make the bends in a bending tool or at least between two blades, so that the edge is crisp and in the right place. Degrease the parts with alcohol, glue them with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate, and apply a primer to the metal, otherwise paint will not hold. Cut small parts over a box, or you will not find them on the floor, and paint them while they are still on the fret.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
