1:35 Dario Argento - Posters from movies

Dario Argento - Posters from movies 1:35 — a printed accessory for a diorama

A paper sheet in 1:35 scale from ETA diorama with motifs of film posters. It is not a model or a decal lifted off in water: the motifs are cut out and glued onto surfaces in a scene. The theme belongs to the horror genre and the sheet is intended for adult collectors; what matters for the build is its modeling use, not the content of the images.

Use in a scene

The posters belong on cinema display cases, on poster columns, on boarded-up windows or on the walls of an alley. In a scene they work best in a group: two or three sheets side by side, one partly stuck over another, one torn off at the corner. A tidy row of posters all the same size looks like a print run rather than reality.

Matte clear coat and further work

• A film poster was glossy in reality, so after gluing it, flatten it only slightly, not completely.
• Leave the wall around it fully matte, on the other hand; the contrast of sheen gives a scene depth.
• Glue with PVA glue, and on a vertical surface apply the glue to the wall, not to the paper.
• Rub the white cut edges over; on dark posters they show most.
• A light wash and gentle dusting with pigment set a poster into the setting.

Who the sheet is for

For builders of urban and genre dioramas in 1:35 scale and for collectors of figures who complete finished scenes with flat props. It is a motif for adult collectors.

It is a printed paper accessory for a diorama, not a kit and not a waterslide decal. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
