1:35 Dining table and chairs Type.1

Dining table and chairs 1:35 (E.T. Model, a diorama accessory)

A set of furniture for dioramas in 1:35 scale from the range of diorama accessories by the maker E.T. Model. It contains the parts for assembling a dining table and chairs in the type 1 form. It is not a model of a vehicle or a figure but the furnishing of a scene: for the interior of a house, an inn or a field mess, or for outdoor seating by the wall of a farmhouse.

What diorama furniture is good for

A diorama tells a story, and furniture is one of the simplest ways of telling it clearly. A table with chairs immediately establishes that this is a living space, and it gives the figures a reason to act: one sits, another leans, and on the table there are dishes or an unfolded map. At the same time a table fills the empty areas of a base and creates a second level of height, which gives the scene depth. The dimensions correspond to 1:35 scale, so the parts suit the usual figures and equipment in this scale.

Building and painting tips

Assemble the parts on a flat surface and make sure that both the table and the chairs stand on all their legs. Furniture that leans gives the mistake away at first glance. Remove excess glue at once, so that it does not flood the fine detail. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting. Wood is well imitated with a light base, a brown glaze and fine drybrushing over the edges. Wear and dirt are emphasized by a dark wash in the joints and dust pigment at the legs. A little chipped paint and mismatched chairs look more faithful than perfectly new furniture.

Who the set is for
