Elefant — late version 1:35 is an Aber photo-etched detail set for refining the exterior of a model of the German heavy tank destroyer. It is not a vehicle kit but a metal accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale from Aber for the plastic model of the German Elefant heavy tank destroyer in its late form. It is not a vehicle kit but a set of fine photo-etched parts that refine the exterior and add detail unreachable in injection-molded plastic. The set is meant for experienced modelers.
The Elefant (Sd.Kfz. 184) was the later, reworked form of the tank destroyer originally known as the Ferdinand. The changes included, among other things, a hull machine gun and a commander's cupola. The vehicle kept its massive 8.8 cm gun in a fixed superstructure and was deployed from 1943 onward.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade, bend them over a bending tool or a metal rule and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal parts before painting and lay down a primer for metal. Fit the detail step by step, before the final assembly.
This is a photo-etched accessory for a model, not a standalone vehicle kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
