Aber 1:35 fenders and exhaust covers for the Sturmtiger is a photo-etched metal detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber for models of military equipment in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An Aber photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale, not a model of its own. It holds finely made fenders and exhaust covers for the Sturmtiger heavy assault vehicle. They replace the coarser plastic parts from the box and give the model a realistic sheet thickness as well as fine detail on the edges and the rivets.
The Sturmtiger was a German heavy assault vehicle built on the chassis of the Tiger I tank and armed with a massive rocket launcher. It was made in small numbers toward the end of the Second World War for fighting in built-up areas. The fenders and exhaust covers were among the parts that suffered in action or were fitted individually.
The photo-etched metal parts are thin and small, so separate them with a sharp knife on a cutting surface and bend them over a metal ruler or a photo-etch bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a coat of primer so that the finish holds; at the end a fine wash and pigments help to pick out the detail.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
