Photo-etched fenders and exhaust covers for the Tiger I in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Aber. A metal replacement for the plastic fenders and exhaust muffler covers of the German heavy tank — it is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail accessory, not a model. The set contains etched metal fenders and exhaust muffler covers for a kit of the German Tiger I heavy tank in 1:35 scale. According to the manufacturer's catalog it covers the early to the later versions. Thin brass sheet replaces the coarse plastic fenders and adds fine detail to the rear exhaust covers. The advantage of metal is the correct thickness in scale and the option of imitating a bent or missing section of fender, as was common on Tigers in the field. Made by Aber, the Polish photo-etch specialist.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War with an 8.8 cm gun and heavy armor. On vehicles in service the side fenders were often bent or missing, and the exhaust covers at the rear are among the prominent details of the hull.
For more advanced modelers who build the Tiger I in 1:35 scale and want realistic thin fenders and finer exhaust covers. Working with photo-etch calls for patience and the right tools.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
