The model combines the French gun turret with automatic loading and the Soviet tracked chassis - it is a project or export combination. The kit is intended to be glued and painted.
The French AU-F1 turret carries a 155 mm howitzer with automatic loading, which allows a high rate of fire. The turret was offered for various chassis; the version on the T-72 chassis represents one such combination intended for foreign customers. On the roof there is usually a 12.7 mm machine gun against air targets. Automatic loading markedly increases the rate of fire and makes rapid fire from a safe distance possible, which made this howitzer one of the modern means of artillery support.
Assemble the T-72 running gear and the tracks before finishing the hull; individual road wheels are easier to paint in stages. Use liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. The large boxy turret offers an area for a modern camouflage scheme. Complete the weathering with a wash in the recesses and pigments for dust and mud on the running gear and the bottom of the hull; concentrate the wear around the walking surfaces and the hatches.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
