Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set for dioramas and the equipment of models in 1:35 scale. It contains miniature castings of hand grenades of two design types and photo-etched parts for putting together transport crates. It is a small accessory for a scene, not a model of a vehicle or a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
M24 designates a hand grenade of stick design, with the charge placed in a sheet-metal cylinder on a wooden handle. The M39 is an egg-shaped grenade with a small metal body. Both types were transported and stored in wooden crates with metal fittings and a description of the contents. The description keeps to the design and technical point of view.
Small equipment tends to be treated only in a simplified way in kits and its shape cannot be produced in plastic at a corresponding fineness. Resin castings have crisp edges and a clean surface, and photo-etched parts make it possible to put together a crate with a realistic wall thickness and with metal fittings. Accessories of this kind liven up a diorama, the bed of a vehicle or a trench and give the scene scale.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that residues of release agent disappear, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife; do not break them off. Protect your airways when sanding resin and work wet. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before painting, apply a base; for wood a base tone of wood completed with a glaze works well, and metal bodies stand out after a fine accent of the edges and a light soiling.
The set is an accessory for a diorama, not a standalone kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
