A resin set of replacement wheels and tires in 1:35 scale for the German eight-wheeled Luchs armored reconnaissance vehicle. It is not a model of the vehicle but a detail accessory replacing the wheels from the plastic kit. The tires are cast with a realistic sag where they meet the road, so that once fitted the heavy vehicle looks credibly loaded under its own weight. This is variant 1 with the matching tread. The target kit is the Takom or the Revell one.
The Spähpanzer Luchs was a German eight-wheeled (8x8) amphibious armored reconnaissance vehicle of the Bundeswehr introduced in the 1970s. It stood out for its low noise, long range and steering on all axles. Faithful wheels with tread will underline the character of this large vehicle.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; sand with respiratory protection. Paint the tires matte dark gray, bring out the tread with a dry brush and finish dust and dried mud with pigments.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
