A resin wheel set from DEF Model in 1:35 scale for the French Panhard VBL light armored vehicle. The wheels have a suggested load (sagged) with a realistically flattened contact patch; this is version number 2, that is, an alternative variant of the tread or the rim. It is not a kit of the vehicle but a detail accessory for the chassis that replaces the plastic wheels with a more faithful resin rendering.
The Panhard VBL is a French light armored reconnaissance vehicle with all-wheel drive, used for reconnaissance, liaison and patrol duties. It is small, agile and deployed in a number of countries and on foreign missions. The tires carry the weight of the vehicle, and so at rest they are visibly pressed against the ground.
Wash the mold release residue off the wheels, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the contact patches. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and turn the flattened side perpendicular to the ground. Apply a primer before painting; mute the tires with a flat color, set the rims apart and bring out the texture with dust and mud effects. We recommend gluing the wheels on only after painting, as they are easier to paint separately from the hull.
The accessory does not contain the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant to complete an existing Tiger Model or Hobby Boss kit.
