A photo-etched detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale. It holds small items of the personal gear of a German soldier of the Second World War: buckles, clasps, belt fittings, straps and parts of pouches and field equipment. It is a modeling accessory for figures, a scaled-down version of that equipment. It is neither a model nor a figure in itself.
A soldier's personal gear had a number of small metal fittings that plastic figures render only in a simplified way. The photo-etched parts give the gear a true thickness and the right shape of the buckles and clasps, and raise the overall realism of a figure or a diorama.
Separate the very small parts with a knife on a light surface and work with tweezers. Bend them along the etched grooves and glue them spot by spot with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer; pick out the fittings with a drybrush.
This is a photo-etched detail set of small accessories, neither a model nor a figure. The figures, glue and paints are not included in the package.
