A photo-etched metal detail set from Aber in 1:35 scale for a model of the American 2.5-ton cargo truck in the closed cab version. It adds thin metal elements that bring the model closer to the real vehicle.
The American 2.5-ton cargo truck with 6x6 drive was the backbone of Allied logistics in the Second World War and served on every battlefield carrying troops, supplies and weapons. The version with a closed, all-metal cab was usual on the early production series and gave the crew better protection from the weather.
Break the photo-etched parts carefully out of the fret with a sharp blade and dress the edges. Make the bends along the etched score lines using a bending tool or two rules; thicker parts can be briefly annealed to make forming easier. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or two-part epoxy. Lay a primer on the metal before painting, or the paint will not hold well.
