A photo-etched detail set in 1:35 scale for a model of the Israeli M113 armored personnel carrier nicknamed Zelda in its 1980s configuration. It fits the common kits of this carrier.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M113 is a tracked armored personnel carrier with aluminum armor, one of the most widespread machines of its kind in the world. In Israeli service it picked up the nickname Zelda, and the vehicles there went through a whole range of modifications based on operational experience, so they differ from the basic configuration in dozens of details. The SLA designation in the name refers to the South Lebanon Army, which also operated carriers of this type.
This is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale for the carrier in its 1980s configuration. Photo-etch is used where a plastic part would come out disproportionately thick: on thin plates, grilles, racks, brackets and grab handles. The set is prepared so that it can be used on the common kits of this carrier in Israeli configuration. Which parts of the model it covers and in what order the parts are fitted are given in the manufacturer's instructions; read them right through before you separate anything from the fret.
The parts are attached to the fret by thin tabs. Separate them with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with scissors, otherwise they will twist. Run the bends over the edge of a bending tool or a metal rule and press evenly along the whole length. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a minute amount. Degrease the metal before painting and give it a primer, otherwise paint will not hold.
The carrier model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
