A plastic kit of the Japanese Type 90 75 mm field gun in 1:35 scale from the brand Pit-Road. The model renders an artillery piece with a long barrel, a wheeled carriage and split trails. The package also contains crew figures and a decal sheet.
The Type 90 was a Japanese 75 mm field gun based on a French Schneider design and replacing the earlier Type 38 gun. The Japanese army deployed it during the Second World War on a range of fronts including the Asian mainland. Its long barrel gave it good range and penetrating power.
On an artillery model, concentrate on the thin parts of the carriage and the mechanism, which are best cleaned up and glued carefully. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, treat the surface with a base color and apply the paints with an airbrush. Crew figures and light dust effects complete the scene well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
