A cut self-adhesive mask for the model of the fighter Su-27 in 1:48 scale in the extended equipment grade. Compared with the basic version it covers more masked surfaces of the model, so one package will see you through even where tape cut by hand would otherwise have its turn.
A wheel is one of the places where masking by hand is hardest. The transition between the rim and the tire runs around a circle, and tape cannot be led along it except in short sections, which almost always ends in a soft edge. A circular mask solves that problem with one part. The procedure is simple: first spray the whole wheel in the tire color and, once it is dry, lay the circular mask on and spray the rim. In this order, any inaccuracy is hidden in the darker shade, where it does not show.
Mask and spray the glazing at the point when the fuselage is finished but before the final varnish. Do small parts such as the wheels separately and fit them at the end, which saves you handling a finished model. Always apply a mask to a degreased and completely dry surface. Once it is off, check the edge against the light; small shortcomings are easier to put right with a fine brush now than after varnishing.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
