This is a resin detail part, not a vehicle model. The set brings an accurate replacement for the barrel of the ML-20S howitzer together with the canvas cover at the mantlet, for models of the heavy self-propelled gun JSU-152 (ISU-152). You fit it in place of the plastic barrel on a model that is already being built.
The resin barrel has a perfectly straight axis and crisp detail on the muzzle and the breech; the canvas cover of the mantlet is cast with faithful folds of the fabric. The result looks more realistic than split plastic halves, which have to be glued together and have their seams cleaned up.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean the seating surfaces up. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and sand resin with respiratory protection. The folds of the canvas come out nicely after a dark wash and gentle drybrushing.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
