Styrene strip 0.75 x 3.00 x 350 mm from AK interactive is a package of ten polystyrene strips for frames, bulkheads and building your own parts of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Ten pieces of plastic strip of rectangular cross section 0.75 x 3.00 mm; each piece measures 350 mm. The material is polystyrene, that is, plastic of the same kind as in injection-molded kits. It is not a kit but material from which you cut and glue the parts you need yourself.
This size is among the most usable of all. Three quarters of a millimeter of thickness gives the strip stiffness, while three millimeters of width give enough area for gluing. The result is a strip from which structures can be built and visible surface detail made, without it looking coarse.
Score the strip with a sharp knife halfway through the thickness and break the rest - the cut will be straighter than when the material is cut right through. Level the ends on abrasive paper, so that the frame comes out square. It is glued with thin cement for polystyrene, which runs into the joint by itself and melts the plastic slightly; the joint is then of a piece and takes sanding and filling. When you join plastic to photo-etched metal, resin or wire, reach for super glue. It is painted with ordinary modeling paints, ideally over a thin primer coat.
It is material for building, not a finished model. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package.
