1:24 Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 from Red Fox Studio is a set of 3D textured cockpit details printed on decal paper. It is applied as a decal, not as a glued part. The target kit is Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of instrument details for the cockpit in the large 1:24 scale. What matters is how it is made: the motif is printed in color and given a relief 3D texture, but the carrier is decal paper. It is therefore not glued into the model like a resin or photo-etched part — it is soaked off in water and laid onto an already built and painted cockpit part. This combines the crispness of printed graphics with a three-dimensional look that a flat decal does not have. The shapes of the panels match the Trumpeter kit.
The Bf 109G-2 is one of the first production versions of the G series, powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine. Against the earlier variants it brought higher output from the power unit and with it a number of small structural changes to the airframe. The cockpit of the Messerschmitt fighter was markedly cramped, and the instrument panel with the side consoles is its dominant visual element — in 1:24 scale the whole interior is open to view and any simplification shows at first glance.
For modelers building the large 1:24 scale, where an open cockpit makes up a substantial part of the final impression, and for those who want fine instrument detail without working with photo-etched parts and resin. Anyone confident with ordinary decals can manage it.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, paints, varnish and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check that it matches your model before ordering.
