The 1:35 Land Wasser Schlepper – Bronco is a Quickwheel masking set for the road wheels. It can also be used the other way around, that is by painting the wheel disk first.

An accessory for painting, not a kit nor spare parts. The set sets the boundary on a road wheel between the wheel disk and the tire and is cut for the kit from the Bronco company. We state the figure about the target kit because a set for the same vehicle for the kit of another manufacturer exists as well.
The usual sequence is to spray the tire, mask it and lay the base color of the vehicle over the mask. It works the other way around too, though, and in some situations that works out better. When you first spray the wheels with the base color together with the rest of the lower structure, the mask then covers the wheel disk and you only paint in the tire around the perimeter. This procedure makes sense if you are building a model on which the base color is to be uniform and you do not want to lay it on the wheels over a dark base, or if you glue the wheels on only after the hull is sprayed. The price for it is that the dark shade of the tire is applied over a light base less well and needs more layers, that is more care as well, so that it does not run under the margin of the mask.
For modelers of the kit mentioned who want their wheels dealt with exactly and like to adapt the procedure to their own way of working. The set leaves both orders open.
