An injection-molded plastic kit of the German heavy truck LKW with a payload of 7 tons in the version with a tipping body, in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model offers a richly broken-up structure with a well-worked chassis and cab. The package contains injection-molded parts, etched items, clear parts, rubber tires and decals; the exact contents depend on the particular release.
Heavy trucks of this category made up an important part of supply, engineer and construction units. The tipping body (Muldenkipper) served to carry and dump bulk materials such as gravel, sand or soil when building roads, fortifications and field structures. The vehicle combined a sturdy frame, a powerful drive to all axles and a large-capacity body, which made it a universal helper in the rear areas and in the front line alike.
Finish and paint the chassis, the drivetrain and the interior of the cab before you close the bodywork. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the etched items with cyanoacrylate. The tipping body can as a rule be built in the raised or the lowered position - think it through before gluing. We recommend a base coat, an airbrush and final weathering with washes and pigments for mud effects on the wheels and the chassis.
