A photo-etched set in 1:35 scale for detailing the M1134 ATGM anti-tank vehicle of the Stryker family. Thin metal parts replace the coarser plastic shapes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M1134 ATGM is the anti-tank version of the eight-wheeled Stryker armored vehicle used by the US Army. It is recognizable among the other versions of the family by the launcher for TOW anti-tank guided missiles: it rises above the hull to fire and folds back down for travel. The vehicle is wheeled and built for fast movement, so both its surface and its chassis have a markedly different character from tracked fighting vehicles.
This is a set of photo-etched metal parts in 1:35 scale intended for detailing that vehicle. Photo-etch pays off wherever the real part is thin or pierced and the plastic molding looks oversized. The parts list and their positions on the vehicle are given in the manufacturer's instructions that come with the set. They also tell you which plastic parts of the kit are removed or thinned down before the photo-etch goes on.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand down the remaining tabs. Make the bends over the edge of a ruler or in a photo-etch bender, in one calm movement. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in the smallest possible amount, ideally with the tip of a wire. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and lay down a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth metal and will rub off during handling.
The set is meant for modelers who want to refine the details of a wheeled armored vehicle beyond what the kit offers. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
