A photo-etched detail set in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. It lets you build the M7 ammunition boxes for the 120 mm tank gun of the American M1A1 and M1A2 Abrams. It contains fine brass parts for building the transport boxes, which suit the hull of the vehicle and a diorama alike. Neither the model nor a base kit is included in the package.
The M1 Abrams is the main battle tank of the United States, and its M1A1 and M1A2 versions carry a 120 mm smoothbore gun. Ammunition for that gun was stored and transported in standardized boxes, which are a characteristic accessory to the tank and to logistic scenes.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends precisely over a bending tool or a metal ruler, so that the boxes keep a square shape. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer, ideally with an airbrush.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and any other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
