An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M1134 Stryker ATGM wheeled armored vehicle in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the 8x8 chassis and the angular hull with an elevating launcher for anti-tank guided missiles; this vehicle gives light brigades a capability of their own to destroy armored targets at a distance.
The Stryker is a family of American 8x8 wheeled armored vehicles built in a range of specialized versions. The M1134 ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missile) carries on the roof a raising launcher turret with anti-tank guided missiles which allow tanks and fortifications to be hit at long range. In the rest position the launcher is lowered and protected; before firing it raises into the firing position. The version thus adds an effective anti-tank weapon to the firepower of light brigade combat teams.
Paint the eight-wheeled chassis before the side plates cover it. Glue the plastic with a thin modeling cement and sand the seams; assemble the folding launcher carefully so that it stays faithfully movable. Apply a primer before painting. Spray a modern single-color or desert finish with an airbrush and lighten the upper surfaces gently. Dust and mud on the wheels will be brought out by final washes and dry pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
