MH models 1:48 airbrush masks for the markings of the Dornier Do-17Z-10 night fighter. Self-adhesive templates for spraying the insignia in paint; this is neither a kit nor decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from MH models replaces decals with a sprayed finish. The template is laid on a dried coat of varnish, paint is applied through the cut-out and once it is removed the markings are left with a sharp edge, without carrier film and without a glossy rim. On night machines, which tend to be built in dark shades and often with pronounced weathering, that shows most of all. The set is cut for a particular Do-17Z-10 kit in 1:48 scale, so check the match with the model you are building. The exact extent of the sheet is stated on the box.
The Dornier Do 17Z-10 is among the conversions of the last production form of this twin-engine bomber into a night fighter. The glazed nose intended for bombing gave way to a solid nose with concentrated onboard armament, but the airframe and the radial engines stayed essentially as they were. It was a small batch from the beginning of the night fighter arm, and in modeling it is a fairly rare subject.
The varnish under the mask must be cured and smooth, as otherwise the template will not stick tightly. Press it down around the whole perimeter of the cut-out, spray perpendicular to the surface and apply three thin coats rather than one heavy one. Lay an opaque coat under light colors on a dark base. Take the mask off slowly, at an acute angle and while the paint is flexible. Matte varnish comes only after all the templates have been removed.
This is a modeling accessory, not a model of the aircraft. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
