This is a set of two resin manhole covers, that is the cast iron lids of street drains, in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit or a figure but a finished diorama accessory that rounds out the base of an urban scene. The parts are supplied as resin castings and have to be cleaned up and painted before use.
The covers give a street base, a sidewalk or a roadway a realistic detail that is noticeable at first glance and immediately raises the credibility of the view. They suit modern as well as historical urban dioramas, with vehicles, buildings and figure scenes alike. Two pieces make it possible to place the detail in more than one spot on the base.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts and cut off the casting blocks. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) or modeling putty to set them into the base. Bring a base in a dark steel or cast iron shade to life with a dry brush, rust and pigments so that the surface looks aged and blends with the surrounding terrain.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
