This resin set from DEF Model holds four modern concrete Jersey barriers in a version matching the six-foot length, in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but a scenic accessory for dioramas. The barriers suit checkpoints, road closures, base perimeters and urban scenes.
A Jersey barrier is a concrete (or filled plastic) barrier of modular shape with a sloping foot that guides or stops vehicles and protects people and structures. It is used on roads, on building sites and in military settings to block and channel traffic; modern portable types are usually linked into rows.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Concrete looks good once primed in gray, with the edges lightened and stains, cracks and dirt added with washes and pigments; fine scuffs and traces of overspray add to the realism too.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
