A plastic figure set, Modern U.S. Marine M252 Team, from Trumpeter in 1:35 scale - four figures including the mortar.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic figure set captures a modern American mortar team serving the 81 mm M252 mortar. It contains four dynamically conceived figures and, in addition, the model of the mortar itself, ammunition boxes and kit. The set is meant to be glued and painted and makes a complete combat scene.
The M252 is an 81 mm mortar introduced in the American armed forces as a medium support weapon of the infantry. It is served by a team of soldiers who take care of carrying, loading and laying. The figures carry present-day field kit and are armed with rifles matching the modern period.
Cut the figures, the mortar and the kit out, clean them up and glue them with cement for plastic. Paint the present-day camouflage patterns in gray-brown and sand tones; suggest the small patterns with a fine brush. Set the metal parts of the mortar apart in a darker metallic shade. Shade the faces and unify the whole scene with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
