A brass photo-etched set from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale, in the Basic form. It is not a model of the system but a pack of thin brass parts with which you replace the coarser plastic items and refine the detail of a model of the modern MIM-104F Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in the PAC-3 version. The Basic set concentrates on the most visible items. The set is intended for the Dragon 3563 kit.
The Patriot is a modern ground-based surface-to-air missile system. The PAC-3 version is intended above all for defense against ballistic missiles and uses smaller, more accurate missiles with a higher number of rounds in the launch canister. The system is carried and fired from a semi-trailer towed by a tractor unit.
Separate the brass parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat and bend them in a photo-etch bender or along a ruler. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); for easier shaping the brass can be lightly annealed. Apply a base coat suitable for metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
