Eduard 1:35 Panther A late zimmerit is a detail set for a faithful rendition of the Zimmerit anti-magnetic coating on the late variant of the Panther Ausf. A tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This 1:35 scale set from the Czech brand Eduard is not a stand-alone model but an accessory that faithfully reproduces the texture of the Zimmerit anti-magnetic coating on the hull and the turret of the late version of the German Panther Ausf. A medium tank. It replaces the laborious hand-made pattern in putty and guarantees a regular surface relief that is true to scale.
Zimmerit was a paste the Germans applied to the surface of the armor during the Second World War to keep magnetic anti-tank mines from sticking to it. The distinctive ridged pattern is a typical recognition feature of many German vehicles of the middle period of the war, including the Panther tank. The late version of the Ausf. A had a number of production changes compared with the early series.
Place the parts on a cleaned surface of the model and fix them according to the enclosed instructions. It is worth covering the transitions and the edges with a thin layer of putty and spraying primer over them once it has dried. Zimmerit stands out with a dark wash in the grooves and drybrushing on the edges.
It is a photo-etched detail accessory, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
