The Eduard Zimmerit Panzer IV Ausf. H 1:35 is a detail set for a faithful rendering of the anti-magnetic Zimmerit coating on a model of the German Panzer IV Ausf. H tank.

This is a detail set from Eduard in 1:35 scale, not a model of the tank. The set serves to reproduce Zimmerit, that is the characteristic ridged anti-magnetic covering compound on the surface of the hull and the turret. It takes the place of creating the texture laboriously by hand and gives an even, regular pattern shaped exactly for the Ausf. H version.
Zimmerit was a paste-like compound that the Germans laid onto the armor of vehicles to keep magnetic antitank charges from sticking. Once laid on, a ridged pattern was worked into it; it was used roughly between 1943 and 1944 and it is a typical mark of the late machines.
Lay the parts onto the matching surfaces of the model exactly and glue them according to the instructions. Touch up the joins and the edges so that the pattern runs on; once painted, the texture comes out with a wash and a dry brush.
The detail set is supplied on its own. The model of the tank, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
