Polish Officer 1939 1:35 is a metal figure from Mirage Hobby showing a Polish officer of the start of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure in 1:35 scale cast in white metal from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby represents a Polish officer of 1939. Metal castings give a crisp rendering of the detail of the uniform and the gear; the set is meant rather for more experienced modelers who are used to working with metal and cyanoacrylate glue.
In September 1939 the Polish army faced an attack, and its officers wore the distinctive uniform with the rogatywka cap and leather gear. The figure fits scenes from the Polish September campaign, whether as a commander beside a piece of equipment or as a display figure of its own.
First wash the white metal parts and clean them up with a file, remove the casting flash and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a good primer suitable for metal before painting. Keep the uniform in field shades of khaki and brownish green and the leather straps in brown, and shade the face carefully.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
