This is a photo-etched metal detail set (vol.3, add-on), not a kit for the whole vehicle. The set adds fine interior features, mounts, brackets, instrument details and small items of fighting compartment equipment, which injected plastic cannot capture at the right thickness. It is meant as an add-on for a model of the Panzer I Ausf.A in 1:35 scale and shows to best effect on a model with the hatches open.
The Panzer I Ausf.A was a German light tank from the first half of the 1930s with a two-man crew and machine gun armament in the turret. The cramped interior is a rewarding subject for detailing, because it is clearly visible with the hatches open. It was fielded in the Spanish Civil War and in the early campaigns of the Second World War.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a glass surface and form the bends on a photo-etch bending tool. Glue the interior features with cyanoacrylate glue and paint them before you close up the hull, so that they stay accessible. A fine wash and drybrushing of the edges will help them stand out.
This is a detail set, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
