Responsibility details are not available.
This kit in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer AFV Club captures the modern Taiwanese armored vehicle CM-34 with a turret with an autocannon. It is an injection-molded plastic model supplied unassembled and unpainted. The composition of the package, that is, the number of sprues and any etch or decals, is given in the instructions supplied with the kit.
The CM-34 belongs to the family of wheeled armored vehicles built in Taiwan in the 8x8 arrangement. It differs from the transport version in carrying a turret with a 30 mm autocannon, which moves it into the category of infantry fighting vehicles. The design follows from the requirement for rapid movement on paved roads, hence the wheeled chassis with all-wheel drive, the tall angular hull profile with sloped surfaces and the space for a dismount team at the rear. For a modeler it is above all the look that is interesting: large wheels, pronounced fenders, add-on armor panels and modern sensors.
On wheeled armored vehicles it pays to assemble and above all paint the running gear before the hull is closed and access for assembly is lost. Spray the wheels separately and fit them only on the finished model, and make the rubber more matte than the hull. Large flat surfaces are treacherous, as every fingerprint and unevenness shows, so do not skimp on primer and apply the paint in thin coats. Keep the weathering restrained: a light dust filter, a darker wash in the seams between the armor panels and a dry brush on the edges. Concentrate mud effects in the area behind the wheels and on the lower part of the hull, where they arise in reality too.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
