A set of two wooden barrels and a wooden pallet in 1:35 scale from Matho Models — diorama props for stores, yards, railway stations and military scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Matho Models contains two wooden barrels and a wooden pallet in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of a vehicle; these are diorama props, that is small accessories that settle a scene and give it scale as well as a story. Barrels and pallets are among the most universal props of all: they find a place in historical and modern subjects alike.
Wooden barrels suit a farmyard, a cellar, a port, a station ramp and a field kitchen; a pallet will serve in a store, on the bed of a truck or simply propped against the wall of a workshop. A combination with crates, sacks and jerrycans creates the natural corner we know from a real setting. In 1:35 scale the set will complement military equipment as well as civilian buildings and figures.
A wooden surface is rewarding for weathering: the base can be left in a natural tone, or lightly stained with diluted brown or gray paint. An oil wash will bring the joints between the staves out, and drybrushing with a light shade will pick the edges out. Paint the hoops of the barrels with a dark metal color and add traces of rust. The pallet can be scuffed and dirtied locally with dust pigments, and it then looks like something used for years.
A diorama accessory; the base models, figures, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
