A set of eight towing shackles in 1:35 scale for completing models of military equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A shackle is a horseshoe-shaped eye with a pinned bolt by which a tow cable or bar is joined to an eye on the hull of a vehicle. On military equipment shackles tend to hang on the front and the rear, often also stowed in brackets on the fenders, and they belong to the small equipment that sets a model apart from a bare kit. In kits these parts are usually simplified, because the fine shape of the eye and the pin is hard to capture in hard plastic.
According to the name these are eight shackles in 1:35 scale. The number two distinguishes this set from another set of shackles in the same range, so both can be bought alongside each other and chosen by shape. Which subject the shape belongs to exactly is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are small, so work over a tray and with tweezers. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder back, so that the shape of the eye is not deformed. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Cement for polystyrene need not hold on them; cyanoacrylate glue is more reliable. They are painted like metal equipment: a dark base, a dry brush in a metallic shade on the edges once dry and finally fine traces of corrosion where the cable touches the eye.
A set of shackles is supplied. The vehicle model, cable, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
