A diorama prop in 1:35 scale: a set of shopping baskets of the kind you meet in every supermarket. It is not a model of a vehicle but a civilian detail that defines the setting of a scene at once, because where there are baskets, there is a shop. They are supplied as unpainted castings to be cleaned up and painted.
Baskets stacked in a column by the entrance, one dropped in a parking lot, another in the hands of a figure: a few pieces let you put a whole little story together. In modern subjects they fill out a civilian street or a gas station, and in post-apocalyptic scenes scattered baskets belong to the iconography of looted shops. They also work interestingly as a contrast, because a military vehicle driving past an overturned basket says more about the situation than a whole paragraph of text. The scale sits well with figures and vehicles in 1:35.
Real baskets tend to be made of brightly colored plastic or of wire, and both are rewarding: the plastic version is handled with a strong shade and gentle lightening of the edges, while a wire look is suggested by a metal base with a dark wash in the mesh. For a post-apocalyptic version add dust, faded areas and traces of rust. Wash the castings and prime them before painting.
