The name of the set lists the family of tracked vehicles M46, M47, M48, M60, M103 and T54. The American M46, M47, M48 and M60 tanks form a line of successive development, to which the heavy M103 also belongs; their running gear rests on large road wheels mounted on both sides of the hull. The road wheels are among the parts most visible on a finished model and ones where simplification in a kit shows at first glance.
This is a supplementary set of road wheels in 1:35 scale, in the version designated as type 2. The word steel in the name describes the pattern of the wheels on the real vehicle, not the material of the parts in the package. The number of pieces, the material of the parts and the kits the set will fit are given in the manufacturer's description and instructions, so check the match before buying.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder back, so that the shape of the hub is preserved. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The wheels are easier to paint separately and go onto the running gear only when finished, complete with a hint of dust and wear. When gluing, make sure that all the wheels lie in one plane; a wheel out of line shows up as soon as you fit the track to the model.
The set is an accessory for a kit that you build yourself. Paints, glue and thinners are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
