1:35 T-34/76 Painting Mask is a set of self-adhesive stencils for spraying the camouflage scheme onto a model of the T-34/76 tank. These are not canopy masks but stencils that define the shape of the color patches during spraying.

A set of self-adhesive stencils for spraying a two-color or multicolor camouflage scheme onto a model of the T-34/76 medium tank in 1:35 scale. The stencils are applied to a base shade that is already sprayed and dry, and they define the areas that are to stay in the original color while their surroundings are oversprayed with a further shade. The set is cut for the T-34/76 kit from Zvezda, so the shapes of the patches match the shapes of the particular hull and turret parts.
These masks do not serve to cover the vision ports and the glass. Their task is to carry onto the model the shape of the camouflage pattern, which a modeler would otherwise have to estimate freehand or cover laboriously with masking putty. The result is repeatable and symmetrical, which with a pattern sprayed freehand only the experienced manage.
First spray the whole model with the base shade and let it dry thoroughly, ideally overnight. Only then apply the stencils, press them down around their whole perimeter and spray thin coats of the further shade perpendicular to the surface. Lay the paint on in several passes rather than in one heavy coat, otherwise a step will form at the edge. Lift the stencils off while the paint is fresh, within a matter of hours, and at an acute angle toward yourself. If a little paint does get under the edge, you can repair it with a fine brush before a clear coat evens the whole model out.
The stencils are a modeling accessory. The kit, the paints and the clear coat are not included in the package.
