Decals for the T-34/85 in 1:35 scale

A sheet of markings for a model of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank in 1:35 scale, tied to the closing fighting for Berlin in the spring of 1945. On armor, markings are what sets two otherwise identical builds apart: only the numbers and symbols on the turret give a model its own story and setting. The real subject

The T-34/85 is a late stage in the development of the Soviet T-34 medium tank. It received a larger three-man turret and an 85 mm gun, so the commander could at last concentrate on directing the fight instead of working the weapon. Against the older versions that was a fundamental change, inconspicuous on paper but telling in combat. In the last year of the war it was the most numerous Soviet medium tank, and it was seen most often in street fighting in large cities.

How to apply the sheet

• Even out the area under the decal with gloss varnish; silvering shows up easily on a matte surface.
• Cut the subject out close to the printing and dip it in lukewarm water for a moment.
• As soon as it releases from the backing paper, move it onto the model and straighten it with a soft brush.
• On rivets, welds and sharp edges a decal softener will help the decal cling.
• Once it has dried, go over the whole thing with matte varnish so that the edge of the carrier film disappears; only then come dust and mud.

What is supplied is the decal sheet on its own, that is an accessory for a kit. The tank model, the paints, the varnishes and the decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
