This injection-molded plastic kit from Hobby Boss represents the American T26E4 Pershing heavy tank in the Pilot 2 version in 1:35 scale. The model offers a fully detailed engine compartment, a lower hull formed with a multi-part mold and an engine deck that can be built open or closed. Decals and tracks are included.
The T26E4 was a development version of the Pershing heavy tank with the more powerful long 90 mm T15E1 gun, which increased penetration against heavily armored targets. The vehicle, nicknamed Super Pershing, appeared at the end of the Second World War as a response to the heavy German tanks. The Pilot 2 configuration is one of the development prototypes of this series.
Assemble and paint the engine compartment before closing the deck, which you can leave open to show off the details. Olive Drab airbrushes well over a colored primer on plastic; finish with a wash and dust effects using pigments. Glue the tracks in sections.
