A resin figure in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Toro Model. It is a civilian figure meant to bring a city diorama to life, not a vehicle kit. The casting is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue, a rickshaw and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
The subject is a cycle rickshaw driver of the 1940s. Pedal rickshaws were then part of everyday transport in larger European cities at a time of fuel shortage, and they are therefore a popular element in period city scenes. A figure in civilian clothing brings everyday life into a diorama and works well as a counterweight to military equipment, whether in the street, at a market or in front of a house facade.
First wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a knife and sand the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After the primer, a less saturated palette suits a civilian figure: working trousers, a shirt and a cap stand out when the shades differ slightly and look worn. Suggest dust on the boots and trouser legs with dry pigment or a light dry brush. Finish the flesh in thin layers so that it keeps its depth.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
