Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:35 scale depicting a woman in the period civilian clothing of the 1930s with an umbrella in her hand. It is a stand-alone figural casting meant for a diorama, not a kit of a piece of equipment. It is supplied unpainted and needs cleaning up and assembly before painting.
Civilian figures are among the most valuable additions in diorama work, because they are what turns a static display of equipment into a place where something is happening. A figure in a period coat with an umbrella sets the scene in a specific era and in specific weather, which also affects the way the whole diorama is weathered: wet paving, glossy reflections and darker tones on the ground. It comes into its own in a street scene of an interwar town, outside a shop, at a railway station or beside a period car.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water, cut off the casting blocks and sand the joints with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; the thin handle of the umbrella will take only a minimum of glue, so an accelerator helps. After the primer, paint the civilian clothing more saturated than military uniforms; on the coat a clean color with a gentle wash works well, and on the umbrella a smooth surface with no weathering. Build the flesh up in thin layers, ideally before the head is glued to the body.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
