A decal sheet in 1:35 scale holding tactical numbers intended for the turret of the self-propelled 2S6M Tunguska antiaircraft system. It is neither a model nor a part of one: it is an accessory for finishing a model that is already built. It is made by the Hungarian brand HAD models as wet, waterslide decals on a clear carrier film.
The 2S6M Tunguska is a tracked short-range air defense system that combines rapid-fire cannons and guided missiles in one rotating turret with radar equipment. It serves to protect advancing units against low-flying targets. It is precisely the large turret with its prominent side surfaces that the tactical numbers go on, and because that surface is busy, applying them is more delicate than on a flat hull.
Spray the area with gloss clear coat beforehand. Cut the digit out close to the edge of the carrier film, soak it in lukewarm water and, once it releases from the paper, transfer it to the dampened place. Nudge it with a brush, check that it is upright against the edges of the turret and soak the water up with a tissue. On rivets, seams and rounded transitions use a decal softener; the film will wrinkle at first but will tension itself as it dries, and you should not touch it during that time. Finally unify the whole model with a matte varnish.
