A plastic kit of the Taiwanese twin-engine AT-3 trainer in the finish of the Thunder Tiger aerobatic team, 1:48 scale, a limited edition.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AT-3 is a twin-engine jet trainer of Taiwanese design, introduced with the Republic of China Air Force for advanced pilot training. It has a pair of turbofan engines, crew seats arranged one behind the other and a canopy with a good view from both places. The Thunder Tiger aerobatic team also flew this type, thanks to which the machine appears in a bold display finish such as an ordinary trainer does not usually wear.
An unassembled plastic kit in 1:48 scale, a limited edition according to the name. The extent of the parts, the number of marking options offered and the form of the decal sheet are given in the manufacturer's instructions and on the box. It is precisely the decals that are a substantial part of the work with an aerobatic finish, because the colored bands run across edges and across the joints between parts.
Assemble and paint the cockpit before you glue the fuselage halves together. Mask the canopy before spraying, not once the paint has dried. Apply the light base under the colored bands in thin coats, so that the edges stay crisp. Polish the surface to a gloss before the decals go on and, once they have dried, go over them with a varnish according to how the machine is to look. Leave the small landing gear parts for the end of the build.
Paints, glue, putty and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
