DEF Model 1:35 US Marines Korea Winter 1950/51 Set 1 is a resin set of two figures of American Marines in winter kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds two resin figures of American Marines in winter kit from the Korean War of 1950/51. It is not a complete diorama or a vehicle but a pair of standalone figures meant to round out a scene or a model of a vehicle in 1:35 scale. Resin allows fine definition of the clothing and the kit, and the set suits more experienced modelers.
In the winter of 1950/51 the US Marine Corps fought in the freezing mountain terrain of Korea. The men then wore heavy parkas, caps with neck flaps and layered winter kit. The figures capture the typical look of the period and the field gear that went with it.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue; use respiratory protection while sanding. Build the base up with a quality primer. Paint the winter uniforms in muted shades, bring out the recesses with washes and use oil paints to model the folds.
The set holds figures, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and a base are not included in the package.
