The Vickers 6-Ton light tank, Alt B late production version in Finnish service, is a plastic kit in 1:35 scale from CAMs. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.

The kit captures the single-turret version of the British Vickers 6-Ton light tank in the late production configuration as delivered to Finland. CAMs has long specialized in this type and keeps a whole series of boxes for it, told apart by production batch and user, so distinguishing late from early production in the name is not cosmetic: the details of the hull and the superstructure differ. The contents of the package and the extent of the interior are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Vickers 6-Ton, designated by the factory as the Vickers-Armstrongs Mark E, was an export success in the interwar period. It was built in two basic forms: a twin-turret one with machine guns and a single-turret one, designated Alt B, with one turret and gun armament. It was the single-turret variant that became the model for, or the direct inspiration behind, a whole generation of light tanks in a number of countries. Finland ordered these machines in the second half of the 1930s and took them over without part of the armament and equipment, which was fitted on arrival. In design it is a small machine with a crew of a few men, leaf-spring suspension in paired bogies and a hull that is riveted or welded according to the production batch.
Finish the running gear and the inside of the hull before you close the upper parts up, because you will not reach them later. Small light tanks forgive less than large hulls: every seam that has not closed fully shows on a smooth surface, so glue with thin cement for plastic and rather press the parts together than fill them with putty. Spray the whole model with primer before painting, otherwise the shade will not take evenly on the fine edges. A multicolor scheme suggests itself for the Finnish finish, but check the particular shades against the instructions in the box. Keep the weathering rather to the underside of the hull and around the running gear, where it really does collect on light machines.
