Zeltbahn shelter sections in the tan version for German units in North Africa, 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Zeltbahn was a triangular canvas section that a soldier carried as a rain cape, and when buttoned together with other pieces it formed a pyramidal tent. That double use made it a thing that is almost everywhere in period photographs: thrown over the shoulders, rolled on the webbing, pitched as a shelter or simply draped over a crate. This set offers it in 1:35 scale in the tan version, that is in the form for German units deployed in North Africa.
It does most work where it breaks the straight lines of vehicles and equipment. Draped over a fender, tied to the rack above the engine or stretched as shade beside a vehicle, it gives a scene a soft shape that is hard to come by in plastic. It also works well for covering a spot where there is nothing else to fill an empty area with.
For builders of dioramas and individual vehicles in 1:35 scale focused on the North African theater of the Second World War. It also serves wherever a scene simply needs to look lived in: a piece of fabric on a vehicle shows that somebody lives with the machine, and a bare model without accessories cannot do that.
Figures, vehicles, a base and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
