Voyager Model 1:35 Grant — basic photo-etched set is an aftermarket accessory for a plastic kit you already own, not a standalone model. The metal parts refine the external details of the British medium tank on the Takom 2086 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Voyager Model holds photo-etched metal parts and serves to detail the Takom 2086 plastic kit. The model of the vehicle is not part of it. The basic designation means the starting scope of detailing, that is a set aimed at the most visible external features. Check the specific contents of the fret on the box.
Grant was the British designation for the American M3 medium tank supplied under Allied cooperation. The vehicle had an unusual layout: the main 75 mm gun was mounted in the right-hand side sponson with limited traverse, while a smaller 37 mm gun sat in a rotating turret. The British configuration differed from the American version above all in a turret revised to British requirements. The best-known deployment was in the North African campaign, where the tank was among the key vehicles of its period.
The most common loss while building with photo-etched parts is not a mistake but a part that flies off. Work on a light-colored surface with no carpet nearby, cut the parts off with a scalpel so that the blade does not push them away, and move them into a dish or onto double-sided tape immediately after separating them. Glue the smallest features, such as clamps and clips, by putting a drop of cyanoacrylate on the spot on the model rather than on the part, and then placing the part with tweezers. Dry photo-etched parts pick up a troublesome static charge; slightly moistened tweezers help. Spray the paint thinly, so that the texture of the metal stays apparent.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts exclusively. It does not hold the plastic kit, the glue or the paints.
