It holds reproductions of period German leaflets from the period of the Second World War, that is a period depiction used for the believability of a historical scene. The individual leaflets are cut out of the sheet and placed about a scene.
While a poster is posted up and keeps a plane, a leaflet is a loose sheet. In a scene it is therefore not meant to lie flat and straight. It looks natural scattered about the ground, caught against a curb or against rubble, trodden on, rolled up, laid on a table under another object or held by a figure. Several pieces placed irregularly and at various angles work better than a tidy row.
Dampen the cut-out leaflet lightly from the back, so that it softens, and give it a mild wave or a fold over a blunt edge with your fingers; a sharp crease looks like card. Glue only in spots, with a drop of PVA or matte glue in one or two places, so that the rest of the sheet can stay clear of the undercoat and cast a shadow of its own. That shadow is precisely what turns paper into a loosely lying leaflet.
Once dry, spray with a weak layer of matte clear coat. Then work fine pigment into the places of contact with the ground, so that the leaflet carries the same dust as the terrain, and suggest damp and weathering with a very thinned wash. A trodden leaflet also takes a small tear or a bent corner.
The motifs are historical reproductions intended solely to achieve the period believability of a scene. Their content is neither commented on, interpreted nor translated; the product is intended for modelers as a scenic accessory.
